Veterinarian Client Referrals
Pre-Visit Requirements
If bloodwork has not been done in the last 3 months, please schedule with your primary veterinarian. Bloodwork needs to be received by our office at least 1 week prior to your appointment.
Pre-Anesthetic Blood Work Requirements:
- For patients 0-2.9 years: CBC and Chemistry Panel.
- For patients 3-9.9 years: CBC, Chemistry Panel and Urinalysis.
- For patients 10 years and older: CBC, Chemistry panel, Urinalysis and T4.
If your pet has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, heart enlargement, or heart murmur, regardless of age, then chest x-rays, an EKG and a ProBNP are highly recommended within two months prior to anesthesia. If the chest x-rays, EKG and/or ProBNP are not normal then an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) will be strongly recommended in addition to the above tests in order to maximize the safety of anesthesia for your pet.
